At 91㽶Ƶ, we’re committed to giving back to our community. Every year, staff and learners vote for their charity of choice, and this year, we’re channelling our fundraising efforts to support, leading Welsh children’s charity, Tŷ Hafan.
Throughout the year, the college has worked hard to raise money through events such as Wear Green Day.
One person, in particular, has embarked on an ambitious challenge, as he takes on the incredible challenge of cycling 217 miles from Swansea to Dublin and arriving in time for the Six Nations Ireland v Wales match.
John departed from Swansea on Tuesday 20th February and cycled to the tip of Pembrokeshire before crossing the Irish Sea and cycling along the East coast of Ireland, arriving in Dublin on Friday 23rd February.
John has raised over £3,000 for Tŷ Hafan.
Here’s a recap of his fundraising activities:
Here’s what John has to say, “I was looking forward to this event as it was my first multi-day challenge I’ve done for charity. I want to thank everyone for their support during my fundraising efforts!”

This year our goal as a college is to raise an ambitious £10,000 for Ty Hafan, and we’re already halfway there with a whopping £6000 and counting. Thank you to John and everyone else who has helped us get this far.
