In a nutshell
Automotive technicians are increasingly needed to carry out maintenance and repair activities on electric and hybrid vehicles.
This course will give you the skills and understanding to work safely on the high voltage systems in these vehicles.

Course content
You will be learning through a range of classroom activities and practical work in our well-equipped workshops. You will have the opportunity to work hands on with our modern electric vehicle range.
You will cover:
- Working safely on vehicles with high voltage systems
- Safe working during routine maintenance of electric/hybrid vehicles
- Replacement of components in electric/hybrid vehicle high voltage systems
- Dealing with vehicles with damage to high voltage systems
You’ll be assessed through:
- A written exam
- Practical assessment
On completion of the course you will achieve:
- Level 3 Electric / Hybrid vehicle repair and replacement
Entry Requirements
The course is for technicians working in an automotive industry and qualified to level 3 or equivalent.
No prior knowledge of working on electric/hybrid vehicles is expected.
Additional information
Vehicles are becoming increasingly electrified, and the Health and Safety Requirements alone will require you to be knowledgeable for the safety of all.
This course will ground you in all the electric vehicle systems that require extra caution and specialist knowledge, and will build your confidence and ability to effectively, and safely, deal with all types of vehicle incorporating High Voltage Systems.
After booking your course you have 14 days to change your mind and request a full refund. You can still request a refund after this date, but this will only be given if you meet the criteria from the college fee policy.
